How we helped:
We have worked with Travelling Light for many years. Most recently we have advised on theatre tax relief:
- Developing bespoke template for annual relief claim, training and handover of calculations to finance staff
- Assessment of qualifying theatrical productions and identifying stages of production
- Liaising with HMRC and filing of corporation tax returns
As we were new to the Theatre Tax Relief legislation when it was first launched it was really useful to have support from Godfrey Wilson when we made our first claim. Guy worked with us to devise a simple template to allocate our production expenditure which made the process straightforward. As we were both new to recently introduced legislation it was great to be able to learn together and Guy was always happy to explore queries with HMRC. This process also helped to ensure I was knowledgeable and up to speed. I particularly enjoy working with Godfrey Wilson as they always support me to make sure I understand the workings of our accounts and this was no exception.
